Seven Rooms

Tokyo was our first stay coming from Slovenia to our 14-day trip around Japan. We had a very extensive travel path, hopping by car, airplanes, trains and a little walk until we reached 7 Rooms Hotel & Cafe somewhere around 13:oo PM, still early for our check-in time at 15.

At 7 Rooms, we were received in that warm afternoon with smiles and each a glass of cold juice and water and regardless of the strict check-in time, we could start enjoying our room earlier than agreed.

The reception is a very charming place where they have hundreds of flowers and roses available for sailing along with other Japanese items. The staff was very nice and helpful at all times.

The "Standard Family Room" is very spacious with very wide beds, plenty of walking space, a dining space kitchen, big bathroom area, separate toilet and laundry.

Beds

Beds were very wide and all bed clothing clean and new. All furniture is well built and sturdy, there are USB and power sockets available beside each bed, which were convenient for charging our devices at night.

All beds have liquid layer protection so that any liquid won't reach the mattress. Once one of the kids peed in the bed. We took care of removing blankets and the wet protection during the night and after informing the staff they promptly acted and changed everything again.

Kitchen / Dining

The dining table and kitchen are very well equipped, we only needed to get some groceries from the store and all we needed to prepare food - which we only needed in the morning and at night - was there. Even some coffee, water, just name it. Furniture, appliances are very clean and new.

Bathroom

The bathroom was very clean, actually the whole bathroom, laundry and toilet surface area were very well covered in a great waterproofing material, which looked very decorative. It feels like the great attention that Japanese have to details. Very well built.

There is a tub that can be used along with a wet area. It seems like when you close the bathroom the whole floor surface is a wet area but we used only the tub area as wet surface since we were unsure if the water would leak out if we would use too much water.

This bathroom was equipped with a room-wide dryer which was a TON of help after using towels and washing clothes. We could get everything dry after a couple of hours only. Perfect.

Toilet

This was our first experience with the Japanese toilet seat and it was a good one. Everything is self-explanatory as explained from the house rules and house manual. The toilet is placed at a separate door from laundry and bathroom, making it convenient for privacy in a bigger family.

Faucet / Laundry

After leaving or before entering bathroom or toilet, there is the laundry. There are plenty of hangers and racks we could use to hang washed clothes or towels, there was a detergent available in a drawer, but we bough our own since that wasn't going to be enough. We have washed clothes a couple of times during our stay and did not have any issues.

House rules and overall experience

As soon as when we get there, the house rules, welcome rules were provided, as well as wi-fi password. The signal is very strong since each room apparently has their own router and it could withstand heavy traffic from our family in peak hours.

The surroundings are a very quiet residential area with a short walk (around 7 min) from the Kasai Station which connected us to the whole city. There is a park in front of the Hotel with a playground, though I don't know if it's the time of the year and rainy weather at the first few days but the park - only at a specific area - got pretty crowded with mosquitos.

The room is equipped also with a first-aid kit and a box with an escape equipment. I'm glad we didn't need it.
